Whisky producer, The Artisanal Spirits Firm (ASC), and proprietor of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS), has acquired US-based unbiased bottling model, Single Cask Nation.
The acquisition is pushed by ASC’s aim to broaden its portfolio of manufacturers that are geared toward rising a world neighborhood of whisky and spirits customers.
Single Cask Nation co-founder, Jason Johnstone-Yellin, stated: “By becoming a member of Artisanal Spirits Firm we’re coming full-circle in our whisky journey. It was really The Scotch Malt Whisky Society that first impressed us to start out an unbiased bottling enterprise within the first place. We’ve admired them (and their whiskies) for years, so to be a sister model to them now could be fairly wild.”
Single Cask Nation was based in 2011 by Johnstone-Yellin and Joshua Hatton and sources, curates and bottles uncommon single-cask and limited-edition whiskies and different spirits.
CEO of ASC, Andrew Dane, stated: “This acquisition aligns with our ambition to broaden the portfolio whereas staying true to our core mission to captivate a world neighborhood of whisky adventurers with uncommon and distinctive bottlings.”
Johnstone-Yellin and Hatton will proceed to run Single Cask Nation as a definite enterprise inside the ASC group. Whisky business veteran Steve Hawley has additionally joined ASC’s crew and can work intently with Single Cask Nation to supply strategic and tactical assist.
